The inner layer of these performance socks uses recycled polyester to wick away moisture and are cushioned from heel to toe to keep you comfortable. While the outer layer provide maximum protection from blisters using Merino Wool, for added comfort and durability while hiking, trekking, trail running, or backpacking. Fiber Content
Inner Layer: 70% Recycled Polyester, 26% Nylon, 4% Spandex
Outer Layer: 68% Merino Wool, 24% Nylon, 8% Spandex
These anti-blister hiking socks are composed mostly of eco-friendly Recycled Polyester. Recycled polyester materials are made from recycled plastic bottles, helping you enjoy blister-free hiking adventures while protecting the trails beneath your feet.
Double Layer Seamless Toe
Wrightsock's Double Layer styles offer a seamless toe like most performance socks do these days; however, as you can see on the below images, Wrightsock's seamless toe looks a bit different. This is due to the required attachments that connect the inner and outer layers together for our Double Layer system.
Even though it looks a bit odd, our seamless toe acts and feels the same on your foot as any other seamless toe design.

I like the double layer concept but there is a lot of excess fabric at the side of both heels, which will likely lead to blisters on a long hike. The rest of the sock fits well. When I contacted customer service there was no response at all.
Took these on a 30 miler doing 10 miles a day. I did get a blister, but I don't blame the sock. The blister was a result of carrying a 40-lb backpack downhill on a steep grade for miles at a time. Outside of that, for 95% of everything else, these socks perform well and are comfortable.
Still blistered between toes and on sole of foot. Had a hard time getting the inner sock to lay flat against skin. Feet also ended up hot and sweaty. Did work to prevent blisters along edges of feet.

These Wright hiking socks are just as amazing as the Wright running socks I've been wearing for 20+ years. I came across Wright socks when I was training for a marathon and have been a true believer since. I had no idea Wright made hiking socks. I've gone thru many sets of hiking boots and normally always get a blister. So, when I got my newest pair, I did an exhaustive search online for anti-blister socks and came across Wright. I got two pair. They have an amazing inner lining. I wore them with a brand new (unbroken) pair of hiking boots and hiked a rugged 5 mile trail and -- NO BLISTERS, no tenderness, no nothing! I'll never get a different hiking sock again. Good job, Wright! I always tell people about you and now I'll tell them about this sock too!
Very comfortable on a long kike. I should probably get a couple more pairs and wear every day!
I’ve got blisters
After I place my order I noticed in a three month old pair of Wrightsock I had the stitching around the toes was loose and the two layers of socks was separating
I complained and got some waffle about this being normal

Wrightsock Customer Service
First time for me to try the "Merino Hike Crew”, and very happy I’ve tried it. I’ve worn Wrightsocks for many years, and have noted improvements over the years. I recently purchased 6 of the MERINO COOLMESH II CREW version. These were a bit more “stretchy” than the older version(s), but after a few wears, I’ve decided I prefer them to the older version.
This "Merino Hike Crew” is thicker, and and not “stretchy”, I like these best, and they will now be my “go to” sock for future purchases.
Best socks ever! I wear them when I work in an ice cream freezer and my feet are always warm!
Wright socks are unique and very special. I have several types and most are close to perfect. I wish the their heaviest weight was thicker, not quite as thick and comfortable as some of my thicker wool socks. I have been using one of their lighter weight styles as “liner” socks under heavier socks from a different company and the combination is better than each by themselves.
